BACK OF HOUSE POSITIONS
LINE COOK - Experienced Position
Always looking for strong additions to our Brigade. Successful applicants will possess the following:
comfort and familiarity with culinary skills (we are not a kitchen to cut your teeth in)
autonomous working ability and a self-starter
a real interest/need to work in an independent chef-driven environment
desire to continue learning with a recognition, that when you're good, you always are
a real interest in food and passion for the job
FRONT OF HOUSE POSITIONS
SERVER
Meritage Servers are truly ambassadors of food & beverage knowledge, and hospitality professionals. We are a mature house with seasoned professionals, and are looking for folks who can jump in and join the flow. Meritage is a busy establishment with high expectations, though the earning potential rewards those with the ability to succeed win our environment. We hire industry professionals whom are looking for the next place to enjoy their career, and be given continual opportunity for professional development and education. We are an active house, and everyone works all hours of operation. We do not hire without full availability Thursday - Sunday. We do hire folks who are looking to be surrounded by like-minded service professionals whop cater to a clientele that is respectful and engaged. We are all very fortunate, with regards to all of our people.3-5 years experience in chef-driven environment

SERVICE ASSISTANT/UTILITY PLAYER
This is how folks without chef-driven or direct experience in independent restaurants, are able to potentially join the Meritage Famille and learn from he ground up. We refer to these positions as “Utility” as you are developed in many aspects of the house and you are the master of your own destiny here. You let us know how you would like to grown and we will assist in doing so. We invest in those who invest in us - house rule.$15 per hour + indirect gratuities from the team
RESERVATIONIST (part-time, hourly, approximately 24-30 hours per week, $15-$18 to begin - this position always one with growth potential)
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 12pm - 6pm
Answers the phone, confirms reservations not confirmed otherwise, maintains the events calendar and communication flow between the management team. Learn the host desk and floor operations in order to understand the position, though functions to support the door and the floor, with the final hours of the work day assisting in seating “first turn” before departure for the evening.
